You don't waste anymore time thinking about it and break into a full sprint toward the same car the criminal is running to. Fortunately he seems too focused on escaping and his eyes remain on the woman, so he is completely oblivious to you.
He reaches the woman first just as she is pulling her head out of the car to grab another bag. She doesn't have a chance to even scream as the criminal quickly strikes her in the back of the head with the butt of the pistol.
She drops to the ground, and he aims the gun down at her just as you get there. You promptly tackle him before he can fire off any shots. He proves to not have a solid grip on the gun as the moment the two of you collide with the ground the firearm slips free of his grasp and skips across the ground. It ends up a few feet away, with you on top of the momentarily stunned criminal.
