"Don't worry, he's gone. You're safe," you say.
She slumps down into the chair and lets out a heavy sigh.
"Thank god... " She utters before putting her head in her hands.
The 'safety' she feels is short lived, however, as the two of you are suddenly alerted to the sounds of heavy footsteps coming down the stairwell. Crap. He followed you down here! The girl looks at you, utterly horrified.
You flick off the light and step up against the wall next to the door, broomstick in hand and at the ready. The girl ducks down behind the desk.
You hear the footsteps reach the bottom of the stairwell, then head in the opposite direction of you and the girl. You lean out and take a peek and see his back is turned to you as he heads for the door on the right first. He has a pistol in his hand, and at the ready, and you know he is more than willing to use it.
There is no way you'll be able to get out of here without a fight, so you need to decide just when you're going to attack...
