The Habana Bar

When you enter the Habana Bar, the main room of the Alma de Cuba, you notice Mina hitting on a large man that seems really drunk. She winks at you forming the words:”We’ll talk later” silently. You smile and search for something else to sink your teeth.
A young men is at the bar, drinking alone. He is small but he seems funny and it would probably make a great main course. You have an instinct to choose the juiciest people around and your instinct is telling you that this might be exceptional.
You seat next to him and order something to drink. The barmaid, who is wearing a spiked collar probably to hide bite marks, brings you the glass you’ve ordered. After a while the guy turns to you and you start conversation.
His name is Ed. He was supposed to meet with a friend but he arrived late and he hasn’t seen her yet. He works at a lawyers’ firm downtown and has no girlfriend. His pulse tells you that he is lying on both accounts but you don’t really care.
You convince him to come with you to the back room.
Just like any other backroom in the world, the backroom of the Alma de Cuba is shady, full of hidden corners and covered with fitted carpet. You guide him to a remote alcove. When you pass by a couple kissing he stops. You realize that the man is a vampire feeding.
“Christine? What the fuck are doing here?” he says taking the arm of the girl. She doesn’t react but the vampire hisses at him with his bloody fangs.
Ed stumble into your arms and you lock your eyes on his to prevent him from making a scene. You order him to wait for you in the alcove. He obeys as you turn towards the vampire.
You don’t know him but he clearly is a lot younger than you are. You tell him he should be more discreet and pertinent when he picks his preys. You realize he is actually pretty good looking.
