Loki outsmarted everyone. He is not dead in Infinity war. He used his powers to take over Thanos body. He made him snap and make Loki omnipotent. Then with the second snap Loki made Thanos to destroy himself and his gauntlet. Thus Loki saved the universe but now he used his newfound powes to create a pocket universe of his own separated from the present universe. This new universe was entirely under his control. Now he would not be bothered by anybody. In this universe he was the supreme.
