Unflinchingly stalwart in your quest to rip cabbages out of the ground, you continue working into the night in spite of the assembly at the church. You are so intent on completing your task that you neglect to set up a lantern, and as such, you accidentally stab yourself through the left hand with your hand-rake while excavating a particularly difficult vegetable. You begin bleeding profusely. It appears that you may have severed a tendon.
