You decided that it wouldn't hurt to go inside and let Mr. Lawrence make me a cup of tea while you fixed hair. You wore my curly hair to your ears, and it wasn't messed up from Mr. Lawrence's ruffling but you did want to make sure that every single curl was perfectly bouncy.

Mr. Lawrence started boiling water as you looked around his apartment. He had posters of vintage PSAs from the mid-20th century. You were looking at one about 'Refer Madness" when Mr. Lawrence came up behind you and said "Why are you getting to school so early?"

"I'm auditing for a part in the upcoming drama theater production, I want the lead role but I wanted to get in a last little bit of practice before rehearsals this afternoon."

Mr. Lawrence said "Well I've seen you act before, why are you prepping so much for this one, I'm sure you'll crush it!" He said, beaming at you with his killer smile and his large, warm, brown eyes.

"Well I want to be the romantic lead and I don't know if I can pull it off. The character is a rebellious, bad-ass, kind of guy and he woes a girl that likes him even though he's from the rough side of town." I sighed.

Mr. Lawrence's tea kettle went off and he went and made you a cup. When he passed it to you, you said "Thanks, Mr. Lawrence."

Mr. Lawrence looked at you with a bit of fake annoyance, although maybe it wasn't so pretend. "Now come on now," he said "If you are gonna come into my home, drink my tea, and tell me your hopes and dreams you are going to have to call me something that is not 'Mr. Lawrence'. You can call me Derek, or dude, hell call me daddy for all I care, just nothing with 'Mr.' in it."

Call him Derek

Call him 'dude'

Call him daddy
