Investigate the strange presence

Whatever it is, it’s too unnatural for you to ignore any longer. You eye up the old tree questioningly, totally oblivious to what could possibly be off about it. There is definetly a powerful supernatural presence, but you can’t gleam much more than that either because you just aren’t close enough, you can’t see it, or it doesn’t what you to know.
You circle the trunk of the ancient cedar, but see nothing. You stop your foot on the ground in multiple spots, but nothing happens. You through a rock at it, but it just bounces off chipping some off the aging bark. By all accounts it’s just an old cedar tree, but there’s something supernatural about it!
As you stare at the tree, you manage to find a few details that maybe of interest to investigate further: two knotholes, one larger than the other, the top of the tree, which seems to be enveloped in sunlight, a large root that chills the air around you, a weirdly colored rock completely entangled in roots, a vine growing in on a part of the tree lacking in sunlight, and a bush that you thought was rustling. Alternatively, it’s just a tree and you’ve just wasted your time.
