You quickly run back to your house to ask your step dad for the $20.

When you get there you see that he has already left for work. You remember that he keeps some cash in his dresser, and decide to grab it, you'll pay him back later. Or he can just take it out of next month's allowance. Doesn't matter either way.

You pocket the cash and head back to the bus stop, hopefully you haven't missed the bus, but at least you have the cash to pay Dave back.

The bus has just pulled up as you are half a block away, and you sprint the last little bit while the other passengers board. You make it, and flashing your bus pass to the driver you make your way to the back to find an open seat.

The trip to school passes uneventfully, and you meet up with Dave on your way to first period. You pass him his winnings and he tries not to gloat too much about his victory.

When you get there, the the quarterback of the high school team your way, and tells you that you need to let him copy your essay. You forgot it was due today and left your half finished essay at home. Nikki lets Tony copy off her, but he seems to want to talk to you instead. Part way through class, Nikki passes you a note that says Troy likes you. You scribble back that he is gross and mean and you are not attracted to him, but the teacher looks up to see you passing the note back, and gives both you and Mikki detention.

"That's not fair Mr. McNeil!" Nikki protests. Mr. McNeil explains that he thinks you were cheating off each other and you both need detention.

Do you:

• Read the note aloud and possibly hurt Troy's feelings to avoid detention. He is being an asshole, why not be a bitch right back.
• Go to detention, it is not worth fighting, and maybe you can complete an essay by the end of the day to prove the teacher wrong.
