"I know, and I'm sorry," you say genuinely, "Would it be better if I just resign now?"

She stands up, walks around the desk and perches on its edge, looking at you thoughtfully as she moves, "Maybe. There's a way of making this all go away though, but you'd have to make it worth my while."

"Money?" You jump to the obvious conclusion, "I don't have much."

"Better than money," she whispers, and starts to unbutton her blouse.

You look at her in disbelief, then eye up what she's offering. She's not exactly slim, in fact she's carrying a few more pounds that she'd necessarily admit to, but she was by no means obese; curvy would probably be a mutually acceptable description. This does mean she has an enormous pair of breasts, which is no bad thing.

She's always very smartly dressed in trouser suites, and you've often looked at her beautiful face and wondered what she'd be like if she lost some weight.

As ever more buttons come undone you decide:

• You ain't no chubby-chaser and leave with your dignity, but without a job
• What the hell, she could do with a workout
