You quickly swipe the glasses off the sink and duck out of the bathroom. Just in time, as it happens, you hear the sound of the shower shutting off and the door opening. You stand outside the bathroom door, listening intently as you hear the woman step out of the shower. Then a muffled curse as she gropes in vain for her glasses. Smirking, you shift your weight onto your back foot in preparation to take flight. The floorboard under your foot lets out a loud creak that makes you freeze in place.

"Alex, is that you?" The woman calls from within the bathroom.
