From Create Your Own Story
The lady leads you into the trailer, careful not to look directly at you. "Ah, well there isn't quite as much in the pile as I remember, but still, a few things you can use."
You see a mass of costumes in a basket. She goes on. "Although, technically you can't just take any of this. It is still the company's property."
"What? You destroyed my clothes!" You say.
"Well, just your slip." She said defensively. "Would you rather I just pay for it?"
"No, I just... What do you mean?"
She snaps her fingers. "I know! That dress isn't going to work for you anymore, right? Why not just switch it out with something in here? Just make sure you take one costume, and I'll just say I traded it at a store for something that wasn't as broken."
"Broken?"
"Well, yeah. They are all sort of defective. Nothing serious, though - that's why we keep them. To salvage them. They are sort of useless as is is all.
You nod, seeing there isn't much anything else you can do. You have to make it about twenty blocks to your home, and you need to be wearing something. Anything. As it stands now, you really don't have anything that works at all.
"Just come on out when you're done. Shouldn't be anyone coming in for another half hour, but don't take longer than that." She shifts back outside without looking at you.
You look at the pile, gauging what you have to work with.
The first thing you see is a bunch of bandages. There are broken pins, and the bandages look artificially dirtied. You deduce they are for a mummy costume, or perhaps just to wrap up a bunch of limbs to indicate an injury in a play. Still, there is a lot to work with, but it would be all you have. Worse yet, the pins are broken, so they would have to be all tied up. Still, it would cover your entire body, but you would draw a lot of attention as a walking mummy in the middle of the day.
The second thing is a ballerina costume, complete with white gloves and tights. The tutu is rather poofy and designed not to stay down, which would not be near as much of a problem if the leotard was not broken at the bottom, making it no better than a tight shirt. Not only would you look strange as a ballerina in the day, but you would have no panties in a tutu that only covers down a few inches of your thigh.
The third thing is what you can assume is a sailor outfit. There are shorts, which work fine, though a bit loose. There are suspenders to help with that, though. The collar has a blue square flap on front and back, but the biggest issue was the size of the striped top - it was not only shrunk, but mostly torn in the front. Still, there was something to try and work with. You figure you would at least not look completely ridiculous as a sailor.
The fourth is a toga, plain and simple. It is clear it was supposed to use different golden belts to keep it form fitted and put together, but they are all broken, meaning it is the equivalent of a large sheet. Still, it is a lot of fabric, much more than anything else, and you could likely tie something together right. Unless you can convince everyone you just came from a party this early in the morning, you would still look strange in a toga.
The last is a martial arts gi, which is the equivalent of a pair of pants (and these are much too loose for you, which may be a problem) and a long shirt open in the front, but folded over itself and tucked into a belt. The belt itself seems rather worn and black, though to make it work with the shirt, would not really keep the pants up too well since the belt has to be the top layer, and a bit higher than where the pants could reach on your legs. It would not be all that strange to run around in a gi, even this time of day, though still, not completely normal.
