You decide to knock on the door first. After all, it's the polite thing to do. You give a small rap at the door and the noise stops. You hear some movement on the other side before the door is opened a crack. You can see the dark iris of the mouse on the other side as it peers at you through the crack.
"Hi," You say gently. "I found this on my floor and thought it might be yours." You say as you hold up the watch you found.

You hear the running of feet away from the door before the sound returns coming towards you. There is a slight sound of the security chain being undone and the door swings open.
