Although my conversation with Jason went well, I had hoped for a more clear understanding of what happened in the stadium. Why were only Lauren and I shocked?
There was no safe way to electrocute someone. Safety involved preventing electrocution, not causing it. I couldn't figure out a way to recreate what happened at the stadium without putting one or both of our lives in danger, and that worried me.
As I was pulling into the campus entrance, my phone illuminated with the arrival of a new text message. It was from Shawn: "Are you awake?"
Shawn was Lauren's boyfriend, and this type of text message likely only had one meaning.
