Ba-Dump, Ba-Dump.

The dirt road rose and fell as it snaked endlessly into the forest. The canopy of trees flash by, dark pillars of rough bark and imagined faces. Midnight, and while the darkness was an indication the silhouette of the full moon illuminated the shadowy forest a lighthouse in the sea of shadows.

Cars passed the road fleeting blurs of color and noise. This was supposed to be brief but minutes turned to hours. The music player clutched loosely in your hands pumping music, but with being sleep deprived each individual song and its lyrics melded in a foggy soup.

In the other side of the car Mellisa your sister is half asleep as well bundled up shivering from being stuck in the car at night.

Being excused from school was always welcomed, but for some reason you don't remember where you were supposed to be going. (Oh well it probably doesn't matter anyhow.) You put these thoughts away and let the soothing music carry you off to the warm embrace of sleep.

BANG!!! followed by a squealing noise then the car turned off You were awakened groggily staring out the window wondering where you are.

This was your destination?, questions came boiling but nobody to answer them. The driver ( Who was he again? You can't remember his name ) started walking away from the car. "Hey, where's he going" you ask noting the anxiousness in your voice, shaking your sister as she ignored your protests.

The driver looked at you for a moment then proceeded to the woods. (OMFG were the hell is he going!!!) flashed in constant sequence in your head. Taking a handful of your sisters jacket you shake her vehemently.

"WTH WHAT DO YOU WANT!" anger and malice dripping in her voice. "That guy left us and --" The car door opened and came in the man, you just sat dumbfounded then a jab of pain as your sister took out her frustrations.

(Back to the present...)

You had remained silent the rest of the trip.

Melissa now clutched at her cellphone staring into the glowing screen an air of frustration on her face, and you knew why there was no bars no reception no contact with the outside world.

Sounds hum as the car radio turns on (I guess hes bored like we are) What he chooses though is a classical song.
