You ease yourself a bit lower, and feel a flat surface beneath your feet. After making sure it really is solid, you let go of the side of the sewers.

The sludge comes up to mid-thigh, and this close to it, it reeks. However, getting to the crate should be quite easy from here.

Abruptly, the cockroach at your box suddenly crawls inside you! You yelp in surprise, your voice echoing down the sewer. Then you feel several more sets of legs scuttling across your thighs, as the rest of the cockroaches abandon the little island for your body.
