0015-Investigate the apartment closer

Your curiosity gets the best of you, and you decide to check out your neighbor's apartment.
You slowly step in through the doorway. Immediately you start to regret that decision as your heart begins racing and your adrenaline starts pumping. Its fairly quiet. You notice a trail of blood running through the hallway and into a back room. There's also a small pool of blood in the living room, along with the television laying broken on the floor.
As you start walking up the hallway, you hear movement in the living room. It sounds like the coffee table was knocked over. You quicken your pace up and slip into the next room, being as quiet as you can. Jason is still out it the hallway waiting on you. "I'm coming in!" he shouts to you. Guess he isn't staying out there anymore.
Just after he shouts that to you, you hear movement in multiple areas of the apartment. Fear fills your entire body as you see two men go running by the room you're in, heading right towards Jason at the front door, followed closely by Jason screaming.
The sound of your cousin's terror and pain chills you down to your bones. You can't help but shiver and cry during this. His screams don't last very long. Soon everything is quiet again. You use ever ounce of energy you can to keep your crying quiet. You don't want to make yourself known to whoever is out there.
