Wdyw/Drive to the hospital
From Create Your Own Story
This isn't how you want to go. Sitting on a bench, in a your Walmart uniform, stabbed with scissors. You walk to your car and calmly drive to the hospital. You walk into the ER and are given immediate care. You have to go to surgery where they remove the scissors. They somehow missed all your major organs and you have only minor internal damage. You are given a tetanus shot because of the rust, and they patch you up. You are allowed to leave that very same night and you go back to your parents house. They don't even question where you were and ignore your arrival. You head down to the basement and reflect on the sadness that is your life. Maybe you should have just died on that park bench, its not like anyone would care either way. You decide to make a change right there and walk out of that house with what little money you have and catch a bus to the other side of the country.
You end up in Virginia and get a job at a local hotel. They provide you with a room and free meals, which is awesome. You meet a cool girl there and begin dating. After a year, you are married and living in a real house with her. She gets pregnant with your first child, a boy. He is born and the doctors runs the normal tests on him and discover he has HIV. You and your wife don't understand, that can't be possible. You both get tested and find out both of you have it, but how could this be. You think back...the scissors. They had blood on them and Judy must have had HIV and passed it to you. And now you have unknowingly given it to your wife and son. You hold him in your arms and tears fall on his small face. How can you raise a baby with HIV? Can you even take care of yourself and your wife with this diagnosis?
The doctor refers you to a therapist who gives you counseling and convinces you that it is possible. You decide you will keep on living and providing for your new family. You keep on track with your drug regimen and your sons especially. Your wife commits suicide and you couldn't do anything to save her. It is difficult to process, but your therapist really helps you get through it. Your son needs you and you will not leave him. He grows up and you have constant conversations with him about the risks and how to be careful. He gets married and he and his wife adopt two children. You get to see your grandchildren grow and you die at age 70.
