"I can do that," Maria murmurs. She nestles her body more snugly against yours and wraps her arms lovingaly around you. Her lips lightly brush your neck for a moment,
"Mmmmmmmm," you whisper. "Thank you, Maria."
"You're quite welcome, Josie," she purrs. That's the last spoken word for a while. Maria's tender caresses relax you and you drift into a half-awake haze as your troubles seem to melt away.
"Time for bed, Josie." You come out of your happy fog. "I'll walk you to school tomorrow. And I'll help you with your homework if you need me to."
"You're awesome, Maria," you grin. "You... well, I feel better now. Much better."
Maria kisses your neck tenderly. "That's the idea, love."
