You clamber back up the rungs and push against the manhole cover. It doesn't budge.
"Sorry," the babe says. "I couldn't resist. I'll let you out now."
You see her fingers come through the holes in the cover, but the cover doesn't move.
"I think I put it back wrong," she says. "It doesn't want to come up. You might have to go down and follow the sewer to the next manhole."
