"How could you do this?" you ask. "Joojoo never did anything to you!"
"Ah, child, did my tiger tell you?" the wizard asks. "I'm doing this for a reason. Your cat is the host of tiny parasites filled with power. When I kill her, those parasites will migrate to me, making me the mightiest wizard who's ever lived. I am not evil. If I do nothing, the cat will likely die in some fool accident... Getting run over by a truck or falling out of a tree. Then the power will be Wasted! Wasted!"
His words make sense. Joojoo isn't a very careful cat. She probably would die in an accident.
"So say goodbye to your kitty," the wizard says.
