Howdy, CYOS!

I've been quite absent on this story, but have finally found some time for writing.

Expect a huge burst of effort to put this story into the public writing faze, then the arduous process of editing paths, connecting paths, and pruning public pages that don't fit.

This will become the official update journal area for my progress on this story, and I invite anyone who plans to write more than one encounter (Or a large encounter) to log their progress here if it helps them.

Slow down and prepare for an encounter

'Might as well see how this pans out' You think. Letting your boat drift lazily towards shore. Straightening up your weapons (just in case), you peer out into the water. Making sure to appear nonthreatening, you wave down at the still submerged approaching monster girl.

Seeing your hand, she rises up out of the water while swimming to meet your vessel.

Seeing her glide graciously upright through the water, you are greeted by the sight of a beautiful, yet monstrous, woman. Ocean blue eyes, hair, and tentacles surround a wet, naked, and voluptuous body. Stretching under your gaze, she pushes out her perky breasts and emits a small giggle.

You stand, hands on the railing, words not quite leaving your throat.

Sauntering up, the squid girl closes to within 30 feet (10 m) and asks sweetly, "Like what you see?"

"Fine," You say, "If I'm going for a swim, you're coming up for a chat". Extending your hand over the railing towards her, the Squid girl looks up gleefully as she swims. Not wanting to misunderstand the situation, you hope to bring her up for a civil discussion. While you may be a thief, you can be startlingly civil at times. The Squid girl grabs your hand. You strain to pull her out of the water, but she helps by pulling her self over the edge with her tentacles. At the top of the railing the squid girl tackles you, making sure you land on her tentacles. Quickly wrapping you up, your movement is severely restricted. "Oops," she says coyly, "Clumsy me. Now what did you want to talk about?" While you are immobile, you feel her tentacles sliding over your body and feel her gently grinding her bare tits into your chest.

Realizing this has not gone exactly how you want, you try to turn it around with your words

You can see the confusion in her all too close face.

After finishing your speech, you search the Squid girl's face for a reaction. Seeing confusion first, you are pleased when she eases off of you to enter a standing position with her tentacles hanging off the edge of the ship. You stand up to take a respectable distance away from her. Seeing her tentacles twitch in your direction, you stop moving backwards and take a seat on one of the boat's benches. 'Shit she's jumpy' You think, 'Do I attack or talk it out? I really don't want to end up as a cautionary tale.' Seeing her starring at you, she looks very unsure. You motion to allow her to talk, "Your turn," you say. Regardless of what you do, you want her talking and distracted.
