you climb through the trap door and see it is just a small empty room. feeling around the slimy wall you find the loose brick and give it a firm hard yank. With a low rumble the wall rotates revealing another tinier room with just a rusty metal ladder leading up through another dark circular tunnel. the walls of this room are painted to show thee maze of tunnels and you discover that the tunnel that went right at the fork leads you out of the manor completely and into the forest.

you ask this strange elf about the trap door. He shakes his head and runs around yapping something about a hidden map and danger. In his frenzied response you manage to pry the info you need out of him. There is a loose brick in the tiny room the trap door leads to. and this brick rotates the wall to reveal a map of the underground tunnel as well as a ladder to bring you back up to the mansion. He keeps squealing and calling it the ladder of death. Only you do not really have much of a choice if you want to save your family...

you decide to help the elf and grab one of his plastic spoons to help him dig. You really don't plan to stay and help him for a long time, you are just hoping to pry some more info from him about the statues. In return for your work he gives you a canteen of water and some day old bread.

He tells you that the statues are only statues when you look at them. look away even for a second and they move and kill you to transform you into one of them. He then proceeds to go on and on about how his ancestors build this grand manor without realizing that the stone statues lived in the shadows of the vast woods around the house. His great great great great great great great great great great grand-dad's uncle's wife and her husband were the only two elves to make it out of that house alive by tunneling their way to safety. You almost start to cry because the elf's tale is so moving; he has never seen daylight before and you know if he ever did the light would blind him. Now you really need to get going the statues are going to surround the house and take out every last survivor.

I am sorry you took a nap and in doing so forgot the way you came. you chose a direction any direction in hopes of continuing on and you are still walking unsure of where you are going. after another hour you stumble upon a flashlight (literally you stumble over the flashlight and in doing so you break your glasses). oh you forgot you wear glasses? well that should not be a surprise you do not even remember why your on vacation here in the first place. any who... you break you glasses and although you have light; everything looks fuzzy to you... not that there is really anything to see besides walls down here.
you continue on and you hear a noise above you. you quickly direct the light up to see that there is a trap door of some kind above you. you have gone down really far in this tunnel so there is no way it lets you out in the mansion, however you decide to risk it and open up the trap door. you yank hard on the slimy rope and the door swings open thumping you on the head and showering you with spider webs and moth balls along with bugs both dead and alive. you shriek and after you regain your cool you look up. Since you broke your glasses you are not quite sure what you are looking at. should you risk pulling yourself up through the trap door or continue on the never ending tunnel?

you continue down the tunnel and run into a little elf man. you cannot see him clearly so he climbs right up your back and bites you on the nose as you try to get a closer look.He then proceeds to tell you that this is his tunnel that his great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather's uncle's wife started a million years ago in attempt to escape from the stone statues. and digging this tunnel is a job that his family has passed down for generations. Since you have ran into this elf it means you have reached the end of this never ending tunnel and it leads to no where.

On another note it would make perfect sense that the blond and red haired boy died, for they were never given names and in Greek tragedies the characters without names always die. It is their fate and it has suddenly become your's. GAME OVER

Ian clamps you in cuffs and you are shamefully marched down to the main hall. your mother is crying and your dad looks pretty pissed. your sister's room-mate whispers something in your ear right before you are roughly shoved into the car by Ian. you couldn't quite hear what she said, but something about people moving... didn't make much sense to you...

== 5 min later ==

Ian pulls the vehicle over. strange? you are still are at the manor, somewhere in the farthest reaches of the property. Ian starts grumbling about strange happenings and his wife as he roughly shoves you in what appears to be a dungeon or perhaps an old cellar. what is that he is saying? "they are coming for me"? dusk begins to fall as Ian drives off leaving you all alone handcuffed in a dark cellar.
