A light sound of Mordin's fingers tapping against the console filled the quiet and dim laboratory on the Normandy. He was completely absorbed in his work for the past few days. His recent research discovered a horrible secret that could potentially endanger the whole crew of the ship. He moved on the Normandy a few days ago in order to research more. His focus was interrupted when the door to the lab slid open with a loud metallic hiss. A smooth, shiny, humanoid android stood in the doorway.

"You see, recently I was analyzing the negative effects that the prolong exposure to the Reaper technology could potentially have on the crew and my findings are quite grim." Two figures appeared on the hologram, one blue one red "On the left we have an organism who never came in contact with the Reapers or Collectors on the right we have one of the crew members on the Normandy." He paused with a concerned look "I'm afraid that everyone on board the crew is sick."

EDI's flat expression flashed with a hint of fear and worry at the sudden horrible revelation. As an AI she was unaffected by the sickness, even in her silver, humanoid body. Regardless she still felt affection for her crew and the though of all of them being sick filled her with dread. "Is it fatal?" she asked.

"If untreated, yes." The doctor answered, to AI's shock. "But all is not lost. I already started developing a cure. And with your help I'm about 98.69% sure I can develop a vaccine before we can ever get to the late stages on the sickness. "

I'm still new at this, so I don't appreciate the attitude. Yes, it'll take me some time getting used to this HTML like format, yes I'll make some errors now and again, but no that does not mean you have the right to strike an attitude with me. I haven't really worked with a status bar before, and I honestly didn't even realize I had to do anything with it. I'm still learning, rather teaching myself this strange format, so don't come to me in a hard and demeaning tone because I didn't do something the way you wanted it, because I am fairly new at this.

Platypus, this is eatenbypie. I appreciate that you pay attention to things like categorization of pages, but deleting work two hours after being warned and threatening to ban a new user because I missed categorization on 6-8 pages is excessive, especially given that the site doesn't notify you about warnings. Simple oversight on my part, and obviously an oversight given that the rest of the story has proper categorization. -Edit Not bothering to recreate my work on this site.

Apologies for the tense problems. I've been proofreading my stuff since I'm used to writing in past tense, but some things slip through the cracks it seems. As for quirky titles... do you mean the link/page title thing? The first was due to a page collision. I suppose I could have changed the action prompt to something else, but I consider that a part of the story itself, and didn't want to change it due to a collision. Those are rare, I guess. The second was due to a plan where two mini-storylines would converge to the same page... but the actions to get there would be different. In this case I would prefer to use a third page title rather than favor one of the two storylines. The third time I did it... yeah, that was just for my amusement, and it would be a simple matter to limit usage of alternate titles and use them only when needed. So... yeah. The resentment in Mrs.Sato's voice from yesterday starts to make more sense. You open the door to ,what you presume is, the basement carefully to avoid any attention.

Once you walk downstairs you see the clothes dryer working full time. You take a look at the timer and it looks like it's just finishing up. You stick around till the finish. In the meantime you think about why exactly those clothes could be so important to her. And why is she trying to hide them from her husband? Maybe the cool Mrs.Sato is not as dull and boring as she'd like everyone to believe. She reminds you of your own mother, except she is all ass and legs, not tits. So what exactly could it be spinning in there? Maybe she is working on getting out some white stains off her favorite dress after a night out on the town? He good one. Where in this shithole could a lady like her find some stud to take care off her? Aside from you of course. Maybe it's some new sexy pair of linguine she got without her hubby's knowledge? From what you can tell the thing spinning in there is red. The images off Mrs.Sato in sexy red linguine flood your mind. Mrs.Sato sighs in relief. You hand her the rolled up clothing and she qickly checks if everything is alright with it. "Thank you." she says, seeing everything is as it should be. But you're far to curious to stop here.

"So this's like a surprise gift for your husband? His birthday coming up? Mr.Sato is a very lucky man then." You ask raising your eyebrow.

The older woman struggles not to burst out laughing "Yeah right. Please, like I don't do enough for that man." She answers mockingly. You look her in the eyes with the type of expression that tells her that you wont be happy till she explains everything.

"Look it's a long story. The gist of it is I don't feel very happy working my ass off all day so I take up a hobby- traditional massage. There, happy?" Sh sounds pretty embarrassed about this and with an outfit like this you can tell why. You had no idea that traditional Asian massage involved looking like a traditional Asian whore. But you are very much in favor of multiculturalism.

"I didn't want my husband seeing it cause he would no doubt talk about how it's my responsibility to look after his sorry ass and how I shouldn't spend my time parading like a hooker cause it's shameful and blah blah blah. Look it doesn't mater. I'm not that good at it anyway."

Deciding that it would be the better choice, you head off to pay Mrs.Sato a visit. You already know that you need to help her out with her garden. She better have the ts for the job since you didn't bring anything. Still a little shaken after yesterday. But you don't get your hopes up for seeing her too much. Mrs.Sato seams like a very busy woman. You'd love to have a chance to meet her better, and not just in you fantasies. Maybe taking a little work off her shoulders would help her relax.

Once you arrive you put the dirty thoughts aside and ring the doorbell. You wait patiently for the door to open. It takes quite a while. Probably because of the fact that her husband is unable to move and answer the door himself. It's gonna be difficult to make any move on Mrs.Sato while Mr.Sato is breathing down your neck...not that you would ever do such a horrible thing. Besides, honor is very important to the eastern women...and you're being horribly racist again. Best not to mention it.

The door opens and you're greeted with Mrs.Sato in the same formal attire from yesterday. You say hi, trying to sound professional to avoid further dirty thoughts.

"Hello Bradley." She answers politely "I trust you're here because of the job?"

You nod your , keeping to your new 'professional' style. Or maybe you should ave bowed. No wait that's racist again. This is not a samurai film.

With a smile, she leads you inside. You say hi to Mr.Sato on your way to his wife's office.
"You couldn't have come at a better time, Bradley." Mrs.Sato explains as you enter her office once again. You immediately notice a stack of papers on the desk. "I've been drowning in work all day and I could really use your help.". Sounds really serious, you think to yourself, but how exactly can you help her? You don't know anything about...well whatever it is that Mrs.Sato is doing here. The job description included picking out weeds not calculating the square root of whatever. "You mean with your garden?" You ask confused. She gives you a funny look but then something connects and she remembers yesterdays conversation. "Oh. Right. Yes. That is important to me to and I expect your help in that mater, however..." She pauses for a moment and you realize that something is up. "I have something else in mind for you." You mind goes in about a million different places and all of them with Mrs.Sato moaning for more. Her voice snaps you back to reality. "Look i know i never asked you for this but I have a very sensitive job for you in mind. I can't force you to accept it. If you'd like I can just take you to the garden."

You're a little curious about the job in question but, from the sound of it, it could land you in some deep shit. Maybe it's best to play it safe?
