JackalRobot: Injected what I wanted

You hear some rustling on his side, must be turning on the other man's speakers. Who is this man, you begin to ponder in your confused mind. Oh how you wish that you could remember, but as of yet, you cannot. The voice finally returns.

''"May I present... William!"'' He says with some excitement, ''"Now William, you have one minute to beg to your hearts content why he should choose your sorry soul. Begin!"''

Silence. Why isn't he talking? Doesn't he want to live?

''"I don't want to live,"'' He finally speaks, his voice is deep and gravely, ''"So I will not beg. I am sorry if I am not entertaining you."''

''"Oh c'mon William! Don't you want to-"''

''"'''I said no! And that's final!'''"''

After a few seconds, the captor finally gives up on William.

''"Hmph, Well if you really want to die..."''

Perhaps you can stop William and let him speak. Then again, you really just want to get yourself out of this forsaken place, and if William really does want to die peacefully, then so be it.

You hear the sound of the voice giving a sigh a relief, ''"Oh thank god. Looks like you're still stupid as ever I suppose. May, it seems that your chance to talk to Richard has run out."''

''"W-What?!"'' May stammers, ''"B-but I only just started with my-"''

Her transmission cuts off. It seems that he does not want you to remember who you are. Damn, looks like you missed out on an opportunity. The voice then begins to talk to you.

''"Alright,"'' The voice talks blankly, he's still recovering from before, ''"I'll put up the transmission for the other person. Need I remind you that he may be a bit 'deranged' at the moment."''

Peace finally enters this little conversation, as they both finally agree.

''"Alright, I'll stop."'' May finally concedes, ''"Just make sure that he doesn't interrupt my speech."''

''"I can do whatever I want, May."'' The voice chimes in, ''"I did capture you didn't I?"''

''"Shut up."''

''"No, you shut up."'' He sounds like he's enjoying this.

''"Will everyone just please be quiet?"'' You quickly become annoyed, ''"You're acting like a bunch of kids."''

''"Yeah, May! Stop acting like such a child!"''

You hear her about to reply with an angry response, but she manages to take control, and move on.

''"As I was saying,"'' She goes on, ''"We were a couple for seven years, in that time we went through so many moments together. Simply put, the best years of my life. Three months ago, we went to the place where we found each other, Newsense park. I couldn't understand why we would ever come back here at the time, the place was literally a dump, rubbish was everywhere, I counted at least three homeless men rummaging through the trashcans. It was disgusting."''

Newsense Park. That name rings a bell in your mind, you've definitely been there before, but you just aren't able to grasp it in your mind.

''"Eventually, we found a 'clean' seat, most of the others were just encased in a shell of trash and junk. In my mind, I really wanted to leave. Then you told me something that would change my life forever. So you know what that would be? If you can't I'll just repeat it in the exact words you said it."''

Think, think, think! What was that question? Something suddenly pops up in your mind and you let it flow out of your mouth.

''"May."'' You start off, ''"Do you remember this place? This was the place where we met. Where I found the girl of my dreams. Till this moment, every night, I go to bed, fall asleep and think about you, yearn for you, wish you were here with me. Then I open my eyes, who do I find laying next to me? You. You, my dearest, was, is, and always will be my dream. So May, will you please, make my dream come true and become my wife?"''

''"'''Oh my god!'''"'' May rejoices, ''"You remember! You remember! I can't believe it!"''

What did you just say? Can it be that you are starting to remember who you are? Or is this just a one off chance? The voice is also shocked by this revelation.

He's paranoid now, this may be your chance to strike! You can't seem to recall his voice from your disjointed memory, but this could be your only opportunity to really make him scared. If he does catch that you don't know, he may punish you though, so watch out.

She's expecting a response, but you leave your mouth shut, knowing what would happen if you did speak. After a few seconds, she continues.

''"Silly me,"'' She talks to herself, ''"I forgot about that."''

''"Then you must be really stupid,"'' The voice butts in with his low sound, ''"I only just told you he cannot talk, yet you've already forgotten."''

''"'''Shut up asshole!''' I'm under pressure here, my life is depending on this speech, of course I would forget things."''

Wow, you didn't know May could get this worked up so easily, although, with this environment, who wouldn't? Once again, May retains her composure and goes forth again.

''"Name's May, and I've been your girlfriend for seven years. Seven years! Can you believe that? I certainly can't. Now, you won't remember this, but we've been through so much together. I remember back in year 12 when we were ridiculed as the odd couple, since you hadn't really grown tall while I was considered one of the highest in my year. Those were some fun days."''

JackalRobot: I like to move it move it

You race back to land and suddenly, the rest of the Royal Navy appears.

“Pirates!” you yell, pointing to ''The Rising Sun''. “They’re attacking Captain Highmore!”

The men race down to the ship, and a few minutes later, you see figures emerging from the gloom. You run forward hoping… and it’s Captain Highmore! He and the rest of the men are safe!

“Oh Captain Highmore, thank goodness you’re alright! And thank you so much for saving me!” you exclaim.

“Now I just need to get you home safe before anything else happens,” Captain Highmore says. He then escorts you back to your father’s house.

And thus, your adventure ends, and you no longer want any dealings with pirates! As for handsome Captains in the Royal Navy… well, that’s a different story.

Try to tend to Captain Highmore

JackalRobot: I like you, can we be friends?

You kneel down next to Captain Highmore and try to stop the bleeding from the gunshot wound. As you are ripping up your coat to make a bandage, you realize that the pirates are casting off and heading out to sea. Captain Whitlock is standing over you.

“Miss Beech is it? We didn’t even have to kidnap you. Lock her in the study, and throw her friend overboard.”

“No!” you cry. “Please don’t! Just let me tend to him and I won’t make a fuss, I promise.”

“He’ll probably just bleed out anyways,” Captain Whitlock says dismissively. “Boys, throw them both in the study!”

Later, under your gentle care, Captain Highmore begins to come to. “Oh Captain, thank goodness you’re all right!” you exclaim. “We need to get out of here.”

“And by now, the Royal Navy should be close behind. We only need to slow ''The Rising Sun'' down enough for them to catch up,” he says once you’ve explained what happened.

Later in the evening, you escape through the window, and, even though it’s dark, you manage to climb onto the ships’ deck. Then, you grab one of the lamps on the deck and throw it at the sails, catching them on fire! You’ve effectively stopped The Rising Sun and made it easy for the Royal Navy to find you! Then, you climb back into the study, and no one realizes you were behind all the chaos on deck.

Almost minutes later, you can see ''HMS Victory'' approaching through the window.

“Oh Captain Highmore, we’re saved!” you exclaim. “The pirates can’t go anywhere and the Royal Navy is so close!”

The sailors of the Royal Navy board the boat and fight the pirates, then, the fighting suddenly stops. You hear someone coming toward the study. The door opens and it’s an officer of the Royal Navy!

“Now I just need to get you home safe before anything else happens,” Captain Highmore says. You laugh and the Royal Navy takes you, Captain Highmore, and ''The Rising Sun'' back to the city.

And thus, your adventure ends, and you no longer want any dealings with pirates! As for dashing Captains in the Royal Navy… well, that’s a different story.

Look for pirates aboard The Rising Sun

“Captain Highmore, I think there’s somebody up by ''The Rising Sun''!” you say as you dismount.

“Stay here Miss Beech,” he says as he draws his pistol.

“No!” You say, following him. “What if someone else tries to kidnap me? I’m coming with you.”

“Please stay close,” he says, resigned.

You both walk down the pier to ''The Rising Sun''. It is eerily quiet as you and Captain Highmore board the ship. Just when you begin to think you imagined the man you saw on the pier, 5 pirates emerge from the gloom, and one of them is the infamous Captain James Whitlock!

“Get back to land Miss Beech!” Captain Highmore yells to you as the fight begins.

Hide the papers in hopes of having leverage over Captain Whitlock

You quickly try to think of a suitable place to hide all of the important papers and settle on hiding them behind the framed picture on the wall. It wasn’t the best hiding place, but it would do in a pinch. And you didn’t hide them a moment too soon, for just then, Captain Whitlock bursts into the study.

“Now, how am I going to find my treasure Miss Beech?” he asks you.

“My father wrote down where he hid it,” you begin.

“Then tell me where it is!” Captain Whitlock demands.

“I can’t tell you, I don’t understand it myself. But I will let you look at my father’s papers when you take me back to land.”

“Boys! Search the study. She’s hidden the treasure map in here,” he says, calling in his men. They tear the study apart, but thankfully don’t look behind the picture. “You’re cleverer than I gave you credit for Miss Beech,” Captain Whitlock says once the search is over. “We’ll take you to land, and then you’ll give me the map?” You nod in agreement.

A few days later, you look out the window in the morning and you can see land! You don’t recognize it, but you must be close to the city. Captain Whitlock barges in and demands to know where the map is. You give it to him, and you are finally allowed on deck. Once there, you realize that you aren’t close to the city at all! Why, you’re at the Pirate port Tortuga! Captain Whitlock forces you off ''The Rising Sun'' and into the port.

The day after ''The Rising Sun'' has left Tortuga, you are sitting by the docks, wondering what you will do if the Royal Navy never comes. However, it seems that you won’t have to worry about that anymore, for you can see ''HMS Victory'' on the horizon! The ship docks, and by the time the handsome Captain Christopher Highmore of the Royal Navy reaches you on the pier, all of Tortuga’s unsavory characters have vanished.

“Captain Highmore!” you exclaim, “I can’t believe you found me!”

“Now I just need to get you home safe before anything else happens,” Captain Highmore says as he escorts you onto the ''HMS Victory''.

“Aren’t you going to go after the pirates and ''The Rising Sun''?” you ask. “They only left here a day ago.”

“Then we can still chase them down. Cast off men!”

''HMS Victory'' pursues your father’s stolen ship and finally catches up. After a magnificent battle, ''The Rising Sun'' is no longer in the hands of pirates! You sail back to the city on ''HMS Victory'' with ''The Rising Sun'' following close behind.

And thus, your adventure ends, and you no longer want any dealings with pirates! As for dashing Captains in the Royal Navy… well, that’s a different story.

“Wait here while I go investigate,” he says as he pulls out his pistol. As he approaches the carriage, you see something suspicious near ''The Rising Sun''. Why, it might be that pirate who almost kidnapped you! You run over to Captain Highmore just as he finishes inspecting the carriage. “There’s nothing here,” he tells you.

“But there is someone up there,” you whisper, pointing to ''The Rising Sun''.

“I should take you home before this gets too dangerous,” he says. “I will alert the Commodore and someone else will take care of this.”

Gather a crew to take over the Rising Sun

Looking for a crew in Tortuga, the first thing you do is go into the closest tavern, The Hiccupping Turtle. There, you learn that Captain Whitlock has quite a few enemies who would be more than willing to join forces with you to take him down. Then, when you tell them you have a map that would lead to his treasure, they are more than happy to follow the orders of a landlubber.

That evening, you and your new crew board ''The Rising Sun'' and slit the throats of all the pirates who won’t side with you. The next day at dawn, you set out on the high seas with a map, hoping to find treasure and adventure no matter which way the wind blows you.

Trapped aboard what is now a pirate ship, you wait, hoping that your father will pay the ransom and you can return to the city. After a few days, the ransom still hasn’t come. What you don’t realize is that the entire Royal Navy is out looking for you and ''The Rising Sun''. A few more days pass by, and Captain Whitlock finally brings the ship to port at Tortuga. The pirates, drunk by the time they return to the ship, don’t notice you slip off ''The Rising Sun'' and disappear into the port.

“But you said that if I helped you…”

“I said you’d stay alive,” he cuts you off as his men drag you to the brig.

You can see no possible way to escape from this mess. You dissolve into tears. After you finish crying, you can hear the pirates in the hallway talking…talking about you! You get closer to the door and listen in. You hear that your father was responsible for sinking Captain Whitlock’s ship, and that’s why the pirates have kidnapped you and taken ''The Rising Sun''. And now that the pirates have a new boat, they are going to go looking for the treasure your father hid when he took it from Captain Whitlock.

“Well, I’m not about to let you go,” he says.

You fire your pistol. Unfortunately, you are a terrible shot and you accidentally shoot one of Captain Whitlock’s men in the leg! Roaring with pain, the pirate attacks you and knocks you out.

Later, you wake up locked in your father’s study aboard ''The Rising Sun''. You look out the porthole and can only see ocean. You are being held on the ship!

“What is a lady like you doing all alone here on the docks?” he asks you.

“What is he doing here?” you ask.

The other ladies shrug, though one leans over and whispers in your ear. “Apparently, he has a score to settle with one of the city’s merchants.”

You ponder this as the handsome Captain Christopher Highmore of the Royal Navy approaches.

Knowing that it’s the only way to return to the city and your family, you shoot Captain Whitlock. You then attempt to sail ''The Rising Sun'' back towards the city, hoping that no one from the crew will realize that anything was amiss. Then, just as you are losing all hope that you can sail the boat all by yourself, you see a ship of the Royal Navy! HMS Victory quietly glides up next to you, and at the helm, you see the dashing Captain Christopher Highmore! He and his men board ''The Rising Sun'' and arrest all of the pirates on board.

“Oh Captain Highmore, you’ve saved me!” you exclaim.

“Now I just need to get you home safe before anything else happens to you,” Captain Highmore says. He and his sailors bring you and ''The Rising Sun'' back to the city.
And thus, your adventure ends, and you no longer have any dealings with pirates! As for handsome Captains in the Royal Navy… well, that’s a different story.

You climb up onto the deck. Luckily, it has gotten dark, so none of the pirates can see you. You steal the pistol of the pirate who is supposed to be on guard duty. Luckily for you, he is asleep! Then, you see that one of the pirates is at the wheel. Using dance skills you had accumulated over the years, you sneak up behind him so quietly that he never hears a sound. He doesn’t realize that you are behind him until you put the pistol to his throat and whisper “Turn this ship around and take us back to the city!”

The pirate, unsure of who is giving these orders, tries to turn around, but you don’t let him. If he knew it was you, you’d be done for! The pirate starts to turn ''The Rising Sun'' around, and you are heading back towards the city.

Then, almost as if woken by the change in direction, Captain Whitlock storms onto the deck and sees you holding a pistol to his man! Enraged, he gets out his pistol and fires at you. Lucky for you, Captain Whitlock misses and shoots the pirate steering the boat!

The words "Wicked sharp" just keep echoing in your head. It's funny, as no two words have ever affected you as much as these two have. Your thought process nearly ceases except for those two words. It becomes impossible to think of anything besides those two words, to feel anything but the reverberation of the sound, the way it makes your fingers tremble, the way it makes your mouth dry.

You try to calm your shaking hands. God, why are you so nervous all of a sudden? This is so simple... Your hand closes and tightens around both of the handles, holding the scissors closed. Your mind jumps rapidly from thought to thought and you feel a sick sort of rush, a sick happiness. It makes you anticipate the kill. If the before feels this good, imagine the after...

Meanwhile, Vanessa has her back turned to you and is humming. You attempt to quiet the voices in your head, but it's useless. The cacophony grows and reaches deafening proportions.

"'''Doitdoitdoitdoitdoitjustfuckingdoitproveyouarenotuselessdoit-'''"

You begin to shake and shudder, whining loudly. Vanessa turns to face you, confused and worried.

"Megan? Are you okay?"

"'''Doitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoit'''"

"Megan? Em, are you-"

Your head snaps to the right to face her. You swing your right hand, along with the scissors, at her face, her pretty, pretty face, making contact with her eye. She jerks back and screeches, her hands flying up to her eye. The whole thing looks kinda funny, you think. It's like she's just sitting there with her hands near the scissors, screaming, but she isn't making an effort to pull the scissors out. Then again, that ''could'' be wise, seeing as she might end up pulling her eye out. To be honest, self-enucleation wouldn't be very attractive or wise to anyone. Anyways, you figure you're just rambling in your own head as you watch her scream and sit there, unsure of what to do.

You stand up, laughing to yourself at the hilarity of the situation, and grab the back of her head, slamming her face, scissors first, into the desk top. That shuts her up. It also produces a nice, wet stabbing sound and leaks a nice amount of blood onto the desk as she slowly slides out of her chair and off the desk, landing on her back on the floor. The scissors have penetrated her eye to the hilt, and you guess that they've also entered her brain. The eyelid flutters and tries to close around the implement as blood pools and runs down the side of her head like a red tear, while her other eye stares blankly ahead and above, no longer bright and vibrant, now dull and distant. For a moment, you think she's dead, but her raspy, shallow breathing proves you wrong.

You allow her to lie still for a few seconds before slipping your arms under hers and pulling her up to a seated position and kneel behind her. As soon as you let go she starts to fall over, but you catch and reposition her. You're not entirely sure how aware she is, or if she can even hear you at this time, but her breathing is beginning to slow and you know that if you want to say something, you've gotta do it now.

"Sorry, Vanessa, but this is just something I have to do. I mean, any other day I'd have never even thought of this, but today... today I realized you didn't care. Nobody actually cares, they're just pretending so I don't kill myself or anything like that. You'll all go away eventually, so allow me to simply assist you in leaving me. Don't think I get pleasure out of this - I'm not a sicko. This is just to spare you the pain of moving on. I'm not selfish, I swear."

You think for a second and conclude that you're about done. You can't just let her bleed out, that ruins the fun. You tell yourself again that you don't get pleasure out of this, but you have trouble believing that. You reach around her head and grip her chin firmly in your right hand and lay your left on the back of her head, inhaling deeply before wrenching them in different directions. Vanessa's neck emits a loud snapping sound and she instantly goes limp.

Resting for a second and taking in what you've done, you stand up and allow Vanessa to slide over and lay back on the ground before leaving her room. You descend the stairs with haste, eager to get home and finish the job.

The first is the branching-plot story (an example of this is the Choose Your Own Adventure series of gamebooks), which require the reader to make choices but are otherwise like a regular novel. The second type is the role-playing game adventure, which combines the branching-plot novel with simple role-playing rules such as attack points and monster battles. Hey man, you're always an quality writer. Haven´t seen a bad page from you yet! The text you wrote fits perfectly with the overall feel of the story. I always thought it was hard writing swordfights btw.

Kind of had other plans for the effects of the duel through. All four options are marked with B1 or B2 (you can only see it in the edit, not the actual article). I do this to keep track of decisions that affect the competition with Solaria. I figured that if you lose then Solaria´s soldiers would steal the princesses away (thus taking points away) but if you win then the huntresses would be able to successfully repel the enemies.
The B means that you took the path through the market road and then acquired the generals head as a trophy. The 1 or 2 that follows signifies if you won or lost against Solaria. But if you had taken the (yet unwritten) temple road, marked with a C, then you would have acquired a different trophy.

I´m very undecided on what to do with Minvir through. I kind of want to keep her fate similar no matter what happens in the duel with Solaria (killing her off in battle if Daine defeats Solaria). But I´m not sure I want to write her off or not. Making Trix the new and young second-in-commander opens up new elements in the story but closes others. I´m not sure if the new elements are better, or if they can be implemented in other ways.

Yeah, Megan is finally done. That's a giant weight off of my shoulders. It's funny, it was meant to be a quick 23-page story written out of boredom, but personal life, planning, re-planning, and revisions ended up making it take forever.

And by god, were there some revisions. The entire final page, "Return home", was only a fourth of the length of what it is now. I had originally been using the Quick, Good, Brutal system like you had outlined on it, but I ended up dropping it in favor of Megan recording a message for everyone (I couldn't help but reference WLB with Jack and Sarah. I'll probably be writing that next...) before she did herself in. The gun and power tool pages are still on my to-do list, but they'll be a future endeavor, a little update of sorts for another day.

While in port, your men kept their ears open and picked up word of two new possiblities -- one about a long-buried treasure just outside of Lisbon, and one about the current secret hideout where Captain Falcao stores his loot. Seems one of the Captain's men had loose lips after a few too many at Marcos Rodriguez's bar.

I made some changes to links in The Story of Jack Foster, and all three links suddenly took the reader into Smutty sex Romp. I guess the author of that page, who doesn't seem to be active any longer, must have intended for this to happen, but it just seems really odd.

Is what TheSugarTrail is doing with that story of his anything more than spam? Story starts out with pick your hair color. 4 options. Then nothing changes from that other than simple hair color. Then after that comes eye color 3 options again nothing changes b/c of this. Finally a name is picked with 6 options. Nothing changes in the story based on these 3 things. Then you gotta do the math 4 x 3 x 6 = 72 pages per page of actual story. SEVENTY TWO PAGES PER PAGE OF ACTUAL STORY!!!

The story currently has about 232 pages. Roughly 10 of these 232 pages are not simply a clone of another page with 1 word or letter changed. Each additional actual page to the story will be needed to have 71 clones of it to keep the story going.

I know you've probably noticed this by the time you read this, but some person changed the Main Page to some crappy dating site ad. Thankfully, I happened to go on about 45 minutes after this incident and switched it back to the previous addition. This is really starting to piss me off, the Dating Site Ads I mean. Just checking the recent changes now, I see two spam accounts that were just made, with one being the account responsible for doing the griefing on the site. Hopefully this rubbish can finally end. All right. So, I've been plotting this big universe in which my stories occur, and after writing a certain story, I plan on finally writing a really big story that involves characters from all of the stories (and new ones, of course), meeting up and sh- stuff. But, what I had been planning is writing a little bit of a supplementary thing, bridging some of the events of the stories and connecting them before the real fun can begin.

However, this would just be in a diary format, with "forward" and "backwards" options being on pages. Now comes my question - would it be cool if I did that as a separate story, or should I add it in as pages in the Elderpedia (this is my current idea)... I could, of course, do it on another site, but that's the least attractive option. The pages, if added to the Elderpedia would have a title that clearly defines them as part of the Elderpedia, but with a marker like "Elderpedia:BCDiary1" or something similar. This is just gonna be my little section of the page, hope you don't mind. Anyways, I noticed that we have the <nowiki>{{incomplete}}</nowiki> thing, which generates the "incomplete pages" warning. What I'm wondering is this: Do we have one that would do one for categorization warning, and if we don't, why not? It'd be quite useful, as there's someone getting warned for this very reason almost every day, where as the incomplete thing is maybe once a week or so, it seems. It'd be so easy to just thrown <nowiki>{{categorization}}</nowiki> on a page and have it tell them, and if someone wants to personalize the message or whatever, they could just type it in on their own.

The guard collapses with a gurgle, and you quickly retrieve your pistol before the other guards can react.

"Thank you," you whisper to your hostage.

"Hey, you're the one breaking me out," he smiles lazily.

Followed by your men, you march him out of the jail. The guards keep a safe distance but continue to follow you. Right now you are standing in the open, but Drakesport's winding backstreets are not far.

"Here's what we're going to do," you say in a low voice. "As soon as we reach the backstreets, we all take different directions and run as fast as we can to the harbor. We meet at ''Midnight''."

"I'm pretty sure it's well past midnight," replies Edward.

They look like some sort of elite unit.

Your men cannot fire back, as you did not give them the time to reload their pistols before you left the office. With perfect discipline, the other three guards aim their muskets at your men and shoot in unison. Before you know it, you are the last pirate standing. Edward the Red succumbs to his wound just a moment later.
