You pull on the Raspberry's door. It is locked. You see some people moving around inside, so you knock on the door.

The person inside squints and seems to recognize you. He waves you away with a scared look on his face.

"I don't want any trouble," he says. "Please, I don't want any trouble."

The man is about to back down the hallway.

"Please," you say. "Was I hear last night?"

"Leave now or I call the police."

You're pretty well hidden, so they can't see you, but if they start searching, it won't be long until they find you.

What was this, a joke? A set-up? You wonder if they could fit a tracker device in something that is quite literally paper-thin.

SEARCH THE CAR

Hammclov:

You can't find much in the car at first. A couple of bucks, is all. But you start going through the glove compartment and find something very strange.

It's a picture of you. Your face in the picture isn't bruised, but its unmistakably yours. You are standing on a street corner with your hands in your pockets. It is hard to read your expression, but it looks like you are waiting for something, and you are mildly annoyed and a little worried.

You put the picture in your pocket and notice that your heart is racing. You look back towards the hospital and wonder if they realize that you have escaped yet.

You can see the exit, but you have no idea what's behind the door, and if they're already waiting for you. And you don't know if the person shouting after you is a custodian or someone far more sinister.

"OK, we're going to put you through the CAT scan, but because of your condition, we're going to have to put you under first."

"All right," you say, though your mind is racing. You've never heard of anyone being put under for a CAT scan before, but then, you're no doctor, either. But you can't stop thinking about the mysterious voice behind the curtain, and you wonder if you are being set up.

The doctor is preparing the syringe.

It is possible that your enemies heard about your offensive and retreated, but you also think the whole thing might have been a vicious rumor concocted by your enemies to draw your army out into the open. You also think you might have just gotten lost.

The cat is not interested. The little catnip mouse runs under your couch and stays there.

"Get the mousey! Get the mousey!"

The cat is still not interested. You could almost swear it is raising its eyebrow at you. It strolls across the floor and puts her paws over a fork. Now the fork jumps up and starts running around on its prongs!

"I need to find Joojoo," you mutter pitifully.

"SILENCE!" the cat hisses. It spits a fireball at you. You are surprised to find that you have not burned up. It was not a real fireball--just a holographic ghost-representation. "You cannot find your cat until you free me!"

"Why not?"

"Because that's the way it is, all right? Sometimes you just don't question things. You just don't question the natural order and you close your mouth and you just accept things and stop whining. Am I getting through to you right now?"

You nod.

"Good," says the cat. "Now this web thing, it was created by a wizard who lives in the next village over. Do you know how to get there?"

You don't, but you think the cat might be holding something back, and you're not sure if you want to help him. But on the other hand, helping him might be the only way to recover your beloved Joojoo.

Hire Rumiko's sister

Rumiko gives you her sister's card and you rush home to call right away. You look for the mysterious cat everywhere, but you can't find it. And you can't find Joojoo anywhere either. This is strange...

You dial the number for Rumiko's sister. The phone rings twice and a woman who sounds exactly like Rumiko answers.

"Hi, is this Rumiko's sister? The psychic?"

"What?"

"Rumiko's sister. Your sister gave me your number."

The woman on the other line starts laughing immediately. "Oh man, I already forgot. This ''is'' Rumiko. I don't have a sister, and if I did, she certainly wouldn't be a psychic! How gullible are you?"
