You follow Sergeant Stewart to the back of the ship where he leads you through a door, as you walk through you notice Colonel Hopkins conversing with the ships Captain about the battle. Once you have entered you and Sergeant Stewart Simultaneously salute and Stewart tells the Colonel that you are the one he requested to which the Colonel responds "Yes, very well, dismissed Stewart." Once Stewart has left the room Colonel Hopkins turns to you and says "I noticed your actions during the recent enemy encounter, your actions were of great help to the ship during the fighting." "Yes, sir." you respond to which he replies "I believe it is in order for you to be promoted, tell the ships tailor to sew a stripe onto your shirt. You are dismissed Lance Corporal." You salute and exit the room. Sergeant Stewart is waiting for you outside the cabin and when you are out he asks "What happened?" You respond and tell him that you have been promoted to Lance Corporal and he congratulates you. You drop your coat by the ships tailor and he says he can have the stripe on in a day or 2 after he finishes repairing the ships sails. The next couple days pass normally and you eventually get your coat back with a chevron sewed onto the sleeve. Soon enough your ship arrives in a Prussian port and your regiment disembarks, you set up camp on the outskirts of the city. Your regiment is near a group of Highlanders and they commonly come to your camp and talk and sometimes get in fights. These fights are usually broken up by Sergeant Stewart or one of the Highland officers. All the time this is happening there is constant drilling and practice shooting. Every day the number of people in the camp grows until as far as you can see there is nothing but tents. One day the order goes out and everyone takes up camp and gets in long columns and begin to march your regiment is at the very back of the army because you are usually farther back from everyone in a battle. One night as the army is in camp you are sent out with 2 privates to patrol around, as you are the highest rank there you take command of them as you walk along you see a group of about 4 men walking around.

Thinking that it would be nice to talk to someone after the actions that have just transpired, you decide to find Sergeant Stewart and ask him what he thinks about the recent actions. After about a minute of searching the deck, you spot him and walk over to talk. When you are about halfway there he notices you and walks over. He alerts you that the Colonel is looking for you and you should follow him.

Dosbat:

You decide to take out the enemy Captain, he moves at a steady pace you trail him in your sights, after about 5 seconds he pauses for a moment to asses his situation, he glances to look at the your ship, in doing so he sees you. The enemy captain looks straight into your eyes as you pull the trigger, the gun bursts back in recoil and a cloud of smoke appears. You look over the cloud and see the enemy captain on his knees, a red hole standing out from the white of his coat, the enemy captain was a large man and you had wondered if he would survive the shot, in his final burst of action he regains his feet, he draws his saber, observing his ship doing poorly in the skirmish he cuts down the rope holding up the tricolor, turns back around and falls to the ground. You stand in shock for a second, before eventually turning around to observe your ship, there is little damage, as you look at the quarterdeck you see your Colonel looking at you, as if he had observed everything you just did. As you recover from the battle you decide to

Not thinking that you would be able to climb the mast you take up position on an elevated part on the front of the ship, you wait until the enemy ship draws near, you fire a couple missed shots, eventually you notice 2 potential targets, one is a junior officer about to fire his cannon, the other is an officer wearing two epaulets and has a bicorne hat , this man is pacing about the deck giving orders to others who follow them without hesitation.

The Greatest Longshot- Shoot the Cannon Officer

Dosbat:

You decide that a shot to the ships powder stores would end the battle then and there, you aim your rifle and slowly squeeze the trigger, the flint flies forward creating a cloud of sparks, the gun recoils in a cloud of smoke, as you peek through you notice the enemy officer slumped over the gun, a pool of blood under him. As one of his men moves to fire the gun one of your ships cannons fires and the enemy gun explodes dealing great damage to the deck and putting another whole gun out of commission. As you turn around and crouch to reload you see your officer glance at you and nod, as if in recognition of your shot, and the chain of events which it caused. Not long later the enemy hauls their colors down as the ships crew lets out a roar of satisfaction.

As you step back up top you hear a bell ringing and the officer of the watch cries "All Hands on Deck! Clear For Action!". You quickly turn around and see a small ship with a French tricolor on the horizon. You don't know what to do, but a Lieutenant who is coming out of the officers quarters orders you to see the master at arms to get a rifle and bayonet. You rush to a man who is handing everyone weapons, when you reach him he hands you a rifle, bayonet and cartridge pouch. You put the cartridge pouch around your shoulder and load the rifle. You see other soldiers ascending the mast, not knowing if you can climb it you decide to

Deciding that it would be a better vantage point for the battle you risk climbing the mast anyways, with extreme caution you ascend the mast eventually making it to the top. Once on the top you wait a few minutes and before long, the other ship is close by, not thinking you would be able to hit anyone you wait for the ship to come closer. Eventually the two ships are engaged in intense combat, laying cannonball after cannonball into each other. You fire a couple missed shots. As you finish reloading you decide to choose between two targets, one is an officer about to fire a cannon into what you know to be the location of the powder store, the other is an officer wearing more gold than any other and yelling orders to countless others who do as he says, you are able to conclude that this man is the French Captain.

You fall in line with about ten other men who look about as confused as you do, a Lieutenant appears and addresses you and the other recruits, He identifies himself as Lieutenant Smith and explains to you and the others that you are no longer civilians but an armed soldier of His Majesty King George the Third. He then asks everyone to lift their right hand, only about 6 people get it right the rest lift their left or nothing at all. You are among those who lift nothing. After correcting everyone on which side is which, Lieutenant Smith has all of the recruits recite an oath swearing undying loyalty to King and Country. For the next 2 weeks you are drilled mercilessly again and again, by the time the fortnight is up you are able to load and fire your gun with your eyes closed and carry out command after command without skipping a beat. You learn from the veterans that the white band on Sergeant Stewart's white armband meant that he was a "Chosen Man" a skilled marksman who has been recognized for his skill. About a week after your training is complete the regiment is gathered and told to put on their uniforms and take down their tents, you are being deployed into France, taking a ship across the channel and landing in Prussia from where you will march south and join the armies in France. The regiment marches South about 10 miles when you reach a port and board the HMS ''Glory'' a medium transport ship, used to be one of the Royal Navies great Frigates before it was damaged to the point where it was more economical to make it a transport. You fall asleep fairly easy the first night due to exhaustion from the march. You wake up before anyone else in the regiment and find yourself eager to explore the ship

You put on the uniform it is slightly to large but it has a decent fit on you, once the uniform is on he hands you a short rifle, it is smaller than an average infantry musket along with this he gives you a knapsack with the number 95 on it, and a series of straps from which hang a canteen, a sheathed bayonet and an ammunition pouch. Once you have everything situated on yourself he orders you to fall in with the other recruits.

You put on the uniform it is slightly to large but it has a decent fit on you, once the uniform is on he hands you a short rifle, it is smaller than an average infantry musket along with this he gives you a knapsack with the number 95 on it, and a series of straps from which hang a canteen, a sheathed bayonet and an ammunition pouch. Once you have everything situated on yourself he orders you to fall in with the other recruits.

As you slowly open your eyes you notice yourself not to be in the pub from the night before but instead in a tent. As you exit the tent Sergeant Stewart from the night before approaches you and says "Ah yes, I apologize about last night I was under orders to find anyone who might be forced into service. So you Private, I am sorry I did not catch you name?." Not knowing your true name you decide to improvise something.

At last, you have awoken. You observe yourself to be in some alley. You remember nothing of who you are or where you come from. As you exit the alley you trip over some curb, and as you
look up you see a hand offering to help you up. You take the hand and rise to your feet, you notice it to belong to a man in a uniform, the uniform is green with a white armband on the right
arm and a black shako with a green ploom. On the front of this shako is a badge that contains a crown from which hangs a powder horn. You think him to be in the Russian infantry but any
ideas you had about him be Russian are immediately eliminated as he speaks with an unmistakable English accent. He identifies himself as Sergeant Stewart of the Kings 95th Rifles. and offers
to buy a drink. You agree and follow him to a nearby pub where you drink your fill and then some and before you know it you are passed out on the floor.
