You dont trust yourself to come to a stop before you plunge into the pit so you take a few big steps and then jump without seeing how far across the mouth of the pit is. For several agonizing moments you sail through the air before you come to a landing safely on the other side of the pit. You turn around, peer into the pit and see that it is filled with long metal spikes. A brief scan of the room shows that it is otherwise a dead end. The pit trap itself is narrow enough that you can walk around it back to the door you came in through. You count yourself lucky for avoiding the first of many traps and:

You firmly plant your forward foot down to halt your rush into the room. Your front foot silps on the edge of the pit and you just barely stop yourself from tumbling forward. And its a good thing too. Through your flickering torchlight you can see that the bottom of the pit is lined with rows of sharp, teeth like metal projections.

You look around the room but it appears to be a dead end. With no other choice you walk back and:

Continuing past the wooden door you charge into the room, step off the ledge, and fall into the pit. The ground, covered with dozens of razor sharp spikes comes flying at you. You put your hands out reflexively to protect your face but the speed of your fall proves to be too much. Your body is skewered in a dozen places and you collapse to the floor of the pit trap to die a slow and painful death.

You take a few steps back, then charge the door with your shoulder. The door was full and solid and you readily expect the door to hold as if it were made of stone. To your surprise the lock itself is flimsy and smashes to pieces when your body collides with the door sending pieces of metal in all directions. Unable to stop your forward momentum you lumber on past the doorway into the next room. You realize there is a pit immediately in front of you.

==Rules==
People have a tendency to create branches where the character dies. To prevent the story from being just a tree with all dead ends:
*for each page where you kill the character, you must create at least 2 pages (with content) where he can go on.
*whenever you fill out the last option's page, add another one so the story can go another way.
*please stick to the theme and setting of the story. Although creativity is encouraged, radical plot changes and inconsistencies will ruin the flow.
*If something is off topic, remove it.
*Try to capitalize and spell your words correctly.
