You pull up to your house in your old, barely running, and sputtering car. You look out your window and think momentarily about your life. You don't live at home anymore but you still think of this as your home. You come home often but you make a special trip on Saturdays so you can do your laundry. Of course you could do it in the dorms but then you have to fight with other students over the two washers and two dryers. You step out of your vehicle and grab your laundry bag. You throw it over your shoulder and head in through the front door.
You walk in and see your mother standing in the kitchen. She is in her robe and has just poured herself a fresh hot cup of coffee. She smiles at you and you smile back. "Hey mom," you say happily.
"Hi baby," your mom says back. "Doing some laundry today."
"Yep," you respond. You then approach your mom and place your arm around her shoulders. You kiss her on the cheek and say, "I love you mom."
"I love you too, baby," she says.
