I figured not yet, I was thinking the captor would say something snarky back like "well that's great but it's not time for you to choose yet! AHAHAHAHA!!!"

Well, hope it gives you an idea. If you want to reinsert my option and have the captor be even more cruel and sadistic by making the protagonist wait feel free. It's your story after all. :) -- Teejay
