Open your eyes to see what's making the noise

The room looked dim it was still night time. You were still alone.
The sound had stopped. Great you thought and close your eyes again.. The creaking floor and something heavy dragging on the floor woke you up again.
You open your eyes... nothing This was getting annoying.
You stand up and look around the room maybe it was coming outside. Standing in the hall nobody there. You walk back to your room.
The windows were open.
Walking towards it 'it must have been outside' you thought. and in that moment you tripped and hit the floor. 'What the hell' you look and in the darkness grab whatever tripped you.
You look at it even more puzzled then peek outside the window the room was high above the field of grass no trees nearby. Staring down the same statue ornaments were gathered below you in a weird sort of way.
You stick your head outside...
Jumping in surprise you step back away from the window. You go closer again to make sure. Sticking your head outside one of the angelic figurines stared back. It looked like it was peeking into the window face turned toward you unmoving. You touch it and it didnt move... 'ok enough of this'
You throw out the thing that tripped you over. Then shut the windows making sure the lock was in place. You pull the curtains and turn on the lights fully. Its just your imagination.
Heading back to bed to go back to sleep you close your eyes again.
(Meanwhile.... in the grassy lawn outside your window a group of statues remained still and on the ground a large sharp branch that had tripped you lay on the lawn floor.)
