You've heard of your destination, but in all you know about it, there's nothing that makes you want to get there any faster.

The only outpost of the Alliance in all of Orc and Troll occupied Durotar (which lies on the mysterious continent of Kalimdor, far away from the known world of the Eastern Kingdoms), Tiragarde Keep was constructed by the invading admiral Daelin Proudmoore of Kul Tiras, who intended to establish a base from which he and his men could expand outward and claim new territory in the name of his realm. Not long after it was built, however, the Orcs assembled a great Horde of allies and assailed it.

They might have failed if it were not for the actions of Proudmoore's own daughter, Jaina, who had her own colony in Kalimdor and wished for peace with the Orcs. She held back her forces, watching her father die at the hands of those with whom she had signed her pact, before returning home and doing her best to forget Tiragarde. But Daelin was clever, and had established backup plans in case he and his invasion force should perish.

Some time after the keep fell, these backup plans came into effect. A second wave of soldiers was dispatched from Kul Tiras to attack the shores of Durotar once more, with the intention of taking back the ruined stronghold and defending it from the Horde. You were dispatched along with this wave, making the long journey from your homeland to a mysterious and dangerous place halfway around the world. Some say that the Orcs have infested the entire continent, but the officers dismiss this as panic-inspiring foolishness. You hope that they are right, for if the Horde was able to defeat Daelin Proudmoore, you will need all the wit and strength you can muster if you are to survive.

The middle deck of the frigate Blaze of Glory is dark and damp, but perfectly-kept, as is the custom of the proud Kul Tirisian Navy. You sit in your hammock, your armor and sword in the trunk beside you and a sheet of parchment and an inkwell on your lap. You are a recent addition to the Marines, and that means not only many drills but also a good deal of paperwork. Blessed with the ability to read and write, you do not require a scribe to do your work for you, and thus you squint at it as you try to fill it in by what light trickles down through the deck hatches.

You write that you are:
