You freeze and slowly turn around.
A large man is ten feet away from you, he has leather straps for armor over a hairy chest, a shield and a mace, and most frighteningly: the mask of an ogre. He laughs at you.
"Oh my god! What are you?" you squeak.
"I am Moktar the Mighty and I have followed the elven cunt that attacked my men from behind, and now you will pay."
You gulp, your breath coming fast and your chest heaving. This just got very real, very fast. You're alone, on the evil side of the meadow, no Rangers know you came this way. Maybe you can still run, but he looks fast. Fighting him is going to be really hard and help isn't coming any time soon.
