"Can we try again?"
"No. The purpose of the test was to see how you'd respond in an unpredictable situation."
"Oh."
Darren takes another gulp of his drink, and I can see the disappointment in his eyes.
"Why did you pay off my mortgage in advance? You're not even sure I'll honor our agreement."
"I remember you from the old days. I can read people quite well, and I can see that you're still as honest - and unfortunately, as naive - as you were back then."
Darren's expression softens for a moment, but the softness doesn't last. He walks up to me and lifts my chin with his fingers, forcing me to look him straight in the eyes. His stare is cold and calculating.
"Okay. Let's try this again. Show me your skills as a seductress. How good are you at seducing a man? Demonstrate. Use me for a practice run."
Darren wants to see if I can seduce a man. Can I drive him wild?
