You fire several clumsy shots with your science pistol. Zone gives you a "what-the-fuck" look and begins firing as well. Dust and debris flare up from the tunnel as a squad of space pirates emerge from the tunnel firing their pulse rifles. There is barely a moment to react as hot plasma fills the air. Zone tries firing back but is picked off by several sharpshooters. He falls to the ground shaking, blood pooling near his stomach. You have only a second before they turn their attention to you,
