"We'll be taking you to a wealthy land owner at the northern border. It's a quite secluded area and I know little about him. Name's Lord Ruairi. I tried investigating him offcourse, but he's a mysterious fellow. He officially lives in a manor on the mountaintop overlooking lake Ruairi but he's rarely seen there. I've picked up on a rumor of him living in the water, but that's probably just a rumor".

You blink a few times, trying to process all that. Duran isn't done with you yet tho. "With all those weird rumors going about, I decided to check the Magi tower's records. His name was listed there so he's likely a mage, there was no information on him there tho. It almost feels like someone got rid of any info about him. There's nothing in the magic supervision's records to indicate that anyone's keeping an eye on him either".

Duran cast his attempts to mock you aside and looks you in the eye concernedly. You take a deep breath and pretend to be fine. "So why am I marrying this guy if nobody even really knows about him?". Duran frowns "Good question, your father suddenly came up with this and said he'd promised him your hand. Nobody knows why or when. It caused quite a stir amongst his advisors and all of the lords vying for your hand, but he wouldn't hear any of it and said this was a personal matter between him and Lord Ruairi".

You feel dazed. You're supposed to marry some shady guy and your father won't even tell you why? This is all kinds of wrong! Duran stands there looking at you, he seems to be thinking much the same thing which explains his thorough, if useless, investigation.
