You grab your sword and charge into the fray while you close your eyes. apparently closing your eyes activates a magic spell on the sword. and the sword seems to come to life smiting your foes.

when you open your eyes

all your foes are knocked out or have fled

all your foes except the wizzard have fled

all your foes are gigging and rolling around on the floor

all your foes are pleading for mercy
