This room is the transporter room, a place where you can be demolecularized, your atoms streamed out to the programmed co-ordinates, and then all reassembled again. And all by the touch of a fancy button. Or, actually, several buttons and three red sliders. But it's cool isn't it? Faster than a shuttle.
