You look at the brunette babe with an "uncaring" glance and she smiles. You nod at her and walk up to her row. You sit down next to her and introduce yourself.
"Hi, I'm Jack," you say.
"Kate," she replies. "Where are you from?"
"I'm from... Arizona," you reply.
"Cool, I'm from Ohio."
"Awesome." You nod.
"Can I have your e-mail address?" she asks.
"Sure," you reply and write it down. She pulls out her laptop and the class begins.
All is going well. 15 minutes into the one-hour class, you get an e-mail from Kate.
It reads: Hey Jack. I know we just me 15 minutes ago, but do you want to grab a coffee after class?
You give her arm a nudge and mouth the word YES. She smiles.
After class, Mataki storms down to you and Kate.
"Hey, Jack."
"Hey, Mataki. Mataki, this is Kate."
"Hey." He nods at Kate. "So, Jack, let's go check out the arcade downtown."
"Sorry, Mataki, me and Kate are going to Starbucks."
"Oh, it's cool. See you on the flip side." He runs off.
