Katie turned around and jumped a bit as she didn't expect the girl to be so...intense. A small, Pixie cut girl with piercing blue eyes stared at Katie like a wolf stalking prey. If that wasn't enough, her complexion was not unlike that of milk, and she wore a black lace blouse over a leather half corset, which was on top of a black camisole. Below her waist, she wore a flowing black skirt that had lace accents around it. Her hair framed her face like a porcelain doll, which combined with her eyes, and overall look, Katie wasn't sure if the girl wasn't made of porcelain.

Katie spoke to her.

"Um, hello there..."

Joan droned.

"Hello..."

"I guess we're going to be roommates..." Said Katie nervously.

Joan rolled her eyes.

"Guess so."

"Well, I'm just unpacking. You can get your stuff and we can try to make this place a bit more...home-y."

"I don't really have much. Just some books and all my clothes. If it's all the same to you, I'd just like to keep the room silent until I'm done unpacking, OK?"

Katie nods, and she detects the faintest hint of a smirk appear on Joan's face. The petite girl crouches down to her large steamer trunk, and unbuckles the latches. Inside, Joan removes several large tomes (which seem to be several decades old) and places them on the shelf behind her bed's headboard. As Joan turned around, she saw Katie's bewildered look on her face and decided to comment.

"Just some light reading to do before bed."

Next, she took out a few smaller books and placed them on her desk before removing her clothes. She then meticulously placed each article in their rightful places in the closet and dresser. Katie was doing the same, and caught a glimpse of one of the titles on Joan's desk. It read: "Unlocking your True Purpose", which Katie wasn't too thrilled by.

After everything was put away, Katie looked at the room. It looked like a scene out of a cheesy college comedy. Katie's side was bright, happy, and colorful. Joan's was drabby, dull, and boring. Katie looked at Joan with a hopeful smile, trying to convey how uncomfortable she was.

"What are you so happy about?"

Katie didn't know how to respond. The girl clearly misread her expression, but explaining it to Joan might make her upset. However, if she went along with it and said that she was happy about something, that might upset Joan as well. In the end, Katie decided to say...

"I'm actually very nervous about us being roommates..." - Makes Joan upset, throwing Katie out of the room

"I'm just happy to be surrounded by all my things" - Makes Joan jealous, destroys something valuable to Katie

"I'm happy that I'm about to take a shower" - Makes Joan jealous, pulls a prank while Katie's away

"I'm happy because I can finally do what I want" - Makes Joan smile, wants to talk more
