Title: Avast!

Author: -Sentinel-, Possibly Others

Pages: 176

Preview: The Pirate King lets out a deep sigh, and says, "It's courage, Captain. Bravery. Loyalty to one's shipmates. As a captain, that's the best you can do." He walks over to his seat and stumbles into it. "I was like you once. Young. Fearless. Undaunted by anything they threw at me. Every day, I see scumbags come in and out of this place and not one chose to stay true to his friends. They all turned their backs, just to work for me, the Pirate King! They'd give up their own mother's just for some gold." His voice growing more somber. "I gave up my closest friends a long time ago. Look where I am now. Asking people to kill each other for my amusement. What I would give to have them back by my side. I'll tell you this, Captain. Don't ever sell out those close to you because you will regret it. Just because you're a Pirate, doesn't mean you can't have any morals. Stay true to yourself, and you'll find your way to the top. Hell, someday you might even replace me as the king someday."

Review: Avast ye landlubbers! I'm not very good with pirate talk, but can I just say now, that this story is amazing! You start off by getting hold of the pirate ship off Midnight and then charting a course to three different places. I've only read through two of the three and based on those two alone, I found this story to be extremely entertaining. The only fault I would give to the stories is that one of the stories is still yet to be completed, which I am displeased with. I would have like to return to the Pirate King and gained a reward.

There is also a authority point system that has been implemented in the game. The more of these you have, the more opportunities you have to live. These are earned when you do certain good deeds that help the crew, and in return they give you their loyalty (authority points). You could easily cheat with this system in dire situations and click the page which lets you live. But the system makes the story feel more realistic in some sorts and increases the fun.

Grammar was also superb, nothing bad to note.

Choices were aplenty, and you can do many things within the adventure. The Authority system also made the choices more hard hitting and better overall.

In the end, all I can say about this pirate adventure is that it has an fantastic storyline, well told characters, an abundance of choices, and is extremely entertaining. Though, it would have been nice if they expanded this world even more and finished the Pirate King arch.
