Kristen nods and follows you downstairs, her tail swaying calmly behind her. As you check-out the book, you note that Kristen has yet to answer whether or not she wants to work on the essay with you. It might take a bit more than discussing your interests to convince her.

"Well, I'm interested in becoming a veterinarian," you tell her. "Hence why I was accepted into this academy in the first place, I suppose. I'm also dabbling in things like English and Philosophy as a second choice if that doesn't fall through, though I hope that doesn't happen."

Kristen nods, seemingly impressed. "It looks like you have your priorities straight."

You shrug. "That's just what you have to do when you're pursuing your dream, no?"
