You follow the she-cat until your paws feel like they are about to fall off. She finally stops on the bank of a large river. You sit in the shadows,trying to catch your breath before she starts moving again.But she doesn't move. She sits on the riverbank for what feels like hours, even though it was probably only a few minutes. At that point, someone swims across the river. You see that it is a huge gray tom that stinks of fish.
The calico she-cat seems happy to see him, though. They exchange greetings and you learn their names (Sweetspot and Rushclaw.) You aren't an idiot, and you know meeting cats from other clans like this is against the warrior code. You could hear your brothers and mother discussing it while you were sleeping. If Sweetspot is mates with a Riverclanner, she's betraying Thunderclan!
