"Step number one," Wes instructs, "is that you can't carry all this and swim." He waves to the crowbar and the planks. "We put the equipment on the boat, I keep my hand on it, and we swim across at the same time. We should arrive with everything intact!

You look at the boat, seeing it is large enough to put both bags on, though it would be a bit small for the two of you to sit and paddle. Seems a good idea as any. "Fine." You say, and put your bag on there, taking out the crowbar and the planks. "So, by your readings, are we upstream enough?" You are sure to put a sarcastic emphasis in that question.

Wes looks down the river to the mansion. "About as good as it gets." He begins to strip off his black attire. You are stunned for a moment, and see he has swimming trunks underneath.

"What?" He asks as he stuffs the clothes in his bag. He was always a good swimmer, and it shows in his body - although honestly, you never saw him swim. Just heard about it in school. You never saw this much of him, ever.

"Nothing." You say.

"Are you gonna swim like that?"

"Not like I have a swimsuit, anyhow." You snap back, unguarded. Your underwear is bikini-cut, but definitely not water-bound. You thought it was the best thing you could muster in the situation, but swimming in that alone was not your idea of a good time. Instead, you only take off your boots and begin to wade out into the edge of the river.

"It would be easier." Wes says, a bit warily, but you ignore him, and begin to swim out.

"Just get the equipment across." You say, and continue to paddle. The water is pushing on you already, and you see yourself moving, without meaning, toward the island. The wetness is all over you, and while you have swam before, you were never exactly good. You stay afloat, slowly moving foward, when you feel the weight of your clothes continue to pull you down. Suddenly, your head is almost impossible to stay up, and you hear Wes yelling behind you, but it is muffled. The water engulfs your face, and it is all black.

You wake up looking at the stars. There are no lights around you, and your hands feel rocks and bits of grass. Your chest hurts, and above you is Wes, who looks immensely relieved.

"You are okay." He says and sits back.

You sit up, feeling your chest. Your hoodie is unzipped down to your navel. Your bra is wet, but really only the very center of your bra is visible. "What th-" you begin.

"CPR." He says. He looks tired.

"CPR? Like," you start again, your hand moving a bit toward your lips.

Wes laughs. "No, idiot. You do chest compressions. Breathing into someone is a last ditch effort. It's for the movies."

You look to the right, and see the mansion there. You look left, and see one of the bags. "Where's the raft?"

"Funny thing - I must have lost it when saving your life."

You see Wes is still smiling. "Who's bag is that?"

"Yours. I sort of just grabbed for one I could carry before it all rushed off."

Wes saved your bag, still? You pull at the zipper of your hoodie, but it does not budge. Wes' eyes are on your hands, and he frowns. "Must have wrecked it, sorry. Need help?"

"No, I got it." You say, and continue to fidget with it, but it does not move. You eventually give up on it, and hold the ends of the hoodie together so your front is covered fully.

Wes stands up and moves the bag closer to you. Your boots are inside it, which you begin to put on. He looks to them a bit longingly. "No chance I could at least get some socks?"

You realize he only has his swimming trunks now - all his things were lost. You look to your leggings, which apparently tore just slightly around the knee and calves, and that seems to give him indication it is all you have.

"Of course." He says, and looks to the mansion. "So, what now?"

You check the bag, seeing you still have everything on hand. You look up the mansion. "We are doing this." You say. "For the sake of your clothes!"

Wes laughs, then nods. "Alright, how?"

Scaling the mansion is necessary, and climbing is your definite specialty. You do not want to make Wes move anywhere that may be dangerous for his feet, but at the same time, you know moving inside the mansion would be safer to begin the tag. Your plan is to tag starting from the fourth floor, and then move down.
