You hold up your hands, trying desperately to calm the woman. "Hear me out," you start. "I found you inside the Serpent's gut – I resurrected you with magic. Only... I summoned a Goblin first to, er..."

The bemused woman's face twists in disbelief. "To... what!?" Her voice rises with hysteria. "You expect me to believe that fairy tale? You probably summoned the Serpent as well, you perverted... warlock!"

You decide to just stop digging, and beat a hasty retreat into the lengthening grass, leaving your scandalised victim behind. The long grass gets taller and taller – the ground seems to slip away but the plants are just as tall. Soon you can no longer see the Wall above the nodding stems: a few paces later, you cannot see the way ahead at all.

Turning around, you see your path has closed up behind you, but there is no point turning back. Grass cannot hurt you. You push onwards. But which way?
