"White powder?" the principal says, and sniffs some of it. "It's candy!" 
"The special candy?" Carl takes some of it. "I've heard of this! These things are awesome!" 
"No!" says the principal. "You know the rules. No bringing candy to school." 
"But..." 
"No buts. And to think that I would give you a bit of compassion and excuse both of you with a warning. No, not anymore. Both of you, detention. Now."
