After thinking about it for a minute, you come to your decision. "I'll choose Chimchar," you say.

"Chimchar, eh?" Prof. Rowan grabs the Poké Ball in the middle of the pedestal, and after pausing to look at it for a moment, hands it to you. The ball is heavier than you expect and is faintly warm. "You understand the responsibility this imposes on you, right?" he says, gruffly.

You nod apprehensively. "Yes, sir."

"Good. And you were already here last week to get your license, so all that's left is your Pokédex." Prof. Rowan walks behind his desk and pulls out a red a device. Walking back, he hands it to you and you take it with your free hand. Looking down, you almost can't believe you're holding both a Pokémon and a Pokédex...

"Well, the other trainers will be coming any time now," Rowan says, bringing you back to your senses. "You got what you came for, so go and be on your way now."

You get the impression that he's not exactly the warm, fatherly-type as he "gently nudges" you out the door. "Stay out of trouble, now." is all he says before closing the door behind you.

This is it, you think. You're finally a licensed Pokémon Trainer. Now what?
