"Comply, Althea, don't make this harder than it already is," he says.

"I'm trying! I really am," you reply, holding back a furious retort.

He sighs, and turns away from you.

"Send everyone to the Desolation," he says quietly to one of the soldiers.

''The Desolation?''

The name gives you chills and fear strikes you instantly. The guard he was talking to stiffens and you can hear him ask softly, "Are you sure?" The boy replies, "It's too late now to change anything."

Before you can say anything, ask what the Desolation is, or what the boy's name is, you are knocked unconscious.
