You climb, finding a few strong branches that can hold you near the top. It is no sooner that you hear footsteps on the forest floor below you; glancing down, you see a District 5 girl searching for a place to hide. From where you're standing, you can see the District 9 boy pursuing her.

You assume the girl is fourteen at the oldest, probably just thirteen. Her blonde hair is held together in a ponytail, and she clutches a knife in her hands, shaking. There are tears on her clothes, clearly caused by human hands.

Turning your eyes, you see the District 9 boy, around sixteen years of age. He's carrying a flintlock pistol - a fucking gun. If he uses that thing, he'll be dead within the hour; its like the fool is hanging a dinner bell around his neck. You wonder why he's pursuing the girl; surely there are easier targets. Then you see the bulge in his pants.
