Aedificium Vespirtilio is a short story written by Alex Brownstone. It is based on "The Mysterious Building" by Tusselmat

You wake up to the sound of a creaky wooden floor. You realize you are not in your bedroom and try to remember what happened.
You were walking home last night and took a turn into an alley. You were...you were attacked. You put your hand to your head and
feel a bump. Whoever attacked you must have knocked you out and brought you to this building. It is dark but your eyes slowly adjust
to the dim light. You are alone in a fairly large room with no windows. You might be in an abandoned office building or a warehouse
of some kind. There is a door with a staircase sign and an old looking elevator.
