I charged in just as Jasmine was leaving. "Celeste, where are you going?" I ignored her, because I had more important things to worry about.

Nurse Joy wasn't out yet, so I pounded my fist on the counter until she appeared from the back. Her hair wasn't in the usual double loops and she looked like she just woke up.

"Is there an emergency?" she asked groggily.

"Yes! Please help this Buziel."

"Oh my!" she exclaimed. "Give it to me dear." I handed the poor thing over and Nurse Joy ran into the back. A medical light started glowing over the door.

Jasmine came in and sat with me as I waited. "So how did you find it?"

"I was just walking down the beach when I saw it. I realized it mist have washed onshore during a storm. It wasn't moving, so I knew it must be hurt."

"That was a very brave thing to do."

"Thanks." I hugged myself, trying not to burst into tears.

Jamine leaned over to hug me. "Hey girl, it'll be okay. You don't need to cry. Nurse Joy is the best. She'll fix up that Buizel in no time." I just nodded, not trusting myself to answer. She began gently rocking me back and forth, humming a lullaby that every mother sang to her children when they were upset.

We were still sitting like that when Nurse Joy came back, pushing one of those hospital carts for patients. I immediately got up and ran over to see if the poor thing was alright. As soon as I got close, it jumped up into my arms. "The Buizel made a complete recovery. It's lucky you brought it in when you did, though."

"Okay, so we will just bring it out to the sea and be on our way then." Jasmine decided. But I wasn't listening to her. I was looking deedp into Buizel's eyes, and I knew it wouldn't be leaving us soon.

"Actualy," interjected Nurse Joy, "Buizel for strong, long-lasting family groups. If this one has been separated from its for very long, they might not remember it and reject it."

"So you mean..."

"Yes, one of you is going to have to train it. Fortunately, it doesn't look like it there will be any discussion about who." I smiled up at her.
